– Sold OutTillandsia Coalcomanensis. This species is related to T. durangensis. In fact we used to call it T. durangensis (low altitude) as is comes from 800 meters, much lower than the species T. durangensis which is found growing at 2000 meters. We called that one T. durangensis (high altitude). You may have these notations on a plant label from us. In 2008, this was published as a new species by Renate Ehlers, and dedicated to the town that is near the locality, Coalcomen, Michoacan.
The leather leaves are dark reddish colored, and covered with grey trichomes.
